Can Luka-Magic do the unexpected?

While the Suns as a #1 seed should be a clear favorite it's a lot more complicated than that. The (Pre Play-in) #10 seed Pelicans just took this Suns team to 6 games and even though Booker was out it still is somewhat concerning. I say it's concerning because the Mavericks seemed just fine without their best player in their last series and I would argue losing Luka was a good thing for them because now their role players know what it's like to step up in the playoffs. Thankfully for the Suns, Chris Paul showed up huge for the Suns going 14/14 to close out the Pelicans in six, so if he keeps that up they shouldn't have to worry about the Mavericks. The issue is that with someone like Chris Paul you have to worry... a lot. While there have not been any issues recently we can't forget his past with the Clippers and Rockets. When I evaluate these series' I can't really predict choking but I just bring this up to show I do acknowledge this won't be easy for the Suns. If the Mavericks want to win this series they can't take games off, even if they lose a game they need to make the Suns uncomfortable. Also Luka Doncic will need to be on his A-game. He will need t play similarly to how he played in those Clippers series' the last two years. All things considered, the Suns need to be favored and I expect it to be Suns in 6 or 7, but don't be surprised if the Mavericks pull it off and Chris Paul does what he always does. Just remember with Chris Paul it always happens when you least expect it.
